low carbohydrate diets are JUST as bad. when you cut carbs the first weight that goes is water weight. for every gram of water you take in you need to store 3 molecules of water with it. carbohydrates are the baseline fuel for your metabolism. you CANNOT burn fat without have some carbs burning as well. and if you are not getting those carbs gluconeogenesis occurs and that is the formation of glucose (carbohydrates) from other sources i.e. PROTEIN. water and protein all lean mass lost

"no significant differences among the primate species in the fat content of their diets, 2. the seasonality in fat intake coincided w/an increased ripe fruit availability, 3. amounts of fat in the diets were very low, even at peak consumption levels; peak was only ~8.5% lipid, the average annual intake was only ~2.5%.. humans do not need more than 3-5% fat on a dry matter basis.. Modern, westernized humans consume 15-25% fat on a dry matter basis..in excess of need (Butrum et al., 1988)

hey dude to each her own. People who come to my store want my advice and I dont just "push pills" I take a holistic approach which includes a balanced diet and exercise. maybe the soil in Quebec has not been as badly leached of its vitamins and minerals like it has here in the USA. But then again thats why they are called suppliments cause they are supposed to supplement what you should already be doing. Should being the key word.anywho stay healthy.

Not only do I agree with you on what you're saying, I have to compliment you on saying it so simply that everyone can get it. :DThis is what the public needs, people like you explaining this.*applauds*

Question: I'm doing very well with my weight-management program. I weight 10 pounds less than 14 days. However, I'm checking my report, and see that I lost those 10 pounds within 5 days. Not consecutive days, though. The first time I lost 6 pounds in 3 days. Then the weight went back up a bit, and went back down a few days later when I lost 4 pounds in 2 days. What is my problem: Fat or water rentention? I hardly exercised in this 14-day period.

angiers (10 months ago) Human Growth Hormone is naturally accuring. Your body will release it at night while your sleeping.I thought it was released between the meal as well. I read that if you're under great stress, the stress hormones will lower the GH's benefits. Of course, you could say that the GH will counter the bad effects of stress hormones. :)

reddhen (10 months ago) I am a vitamin manager at my local health food store and I have to re-educate people about this all the time.I would be aware of anyone trying to sell me vitamins and minerals in a pill!
